COVID-19 Prevention Emergency Temporary Standards
These pages are being updated to reflect the latest revisions of the COVID-19 Prevention Emergency Temporary Standards. The workplace standards were updated in May 2022. The revisions are in effect until December 31, 2022. 2022 COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave Signed into Law February 9, 2022 – retroactive to January 1, 2022.
2022 COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave (2022 SPSL) provides covered employees up to 80 hours of COVID-19 related paid leave, with up to 40 of those hours for isolation & quarantine, receiving vaccines, and caring for a child whose school or place of care is closed and up to an additional 40 of those hours available only when an employee, or family member for whom the employee provides care, tests positive for COVID-19.
