Changes to Emergency Temporary Standards
Following the June 17 vote by the Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board to adopt the revised COVID-19 Prevention Emergency Temporary Standards, Governor Gavin Newsom signed an executive order to allow the revisions to immediately take effect on June 17. The revised regulations reflect the state’s latest COVID-19 public health guidance. The updates include changes to face coverings and physical distancing requirements. Beyond the Blueprint
As of June 15, 2021, the Governor is terminating the executive orders that put into place the Stay Home Order and the Blueprint for a Safer Economy. He is also phasing out the vast majority of executive actions put in place since March 2020 as part of the pandemic response, leaving in place a subset of provisions that facilitate the ongoing recovery.
